2005 - Transgrid - Armidale 132/66kV Transformer Replacement

Civil works involved the replacement of two 66/132kV Transformers at Armidale Substation including:

• Transformer 1 and Transfromer 2 Runway Slab
• Oil Containment and Drainage
• Rebuild Cable Trench
• Footings
• Transformer 1 and Transformer 2 Compounds
• Structural Steel Structures
• Earthing

The above three images show the substation prior to our works. We then constructed a new transformer bund in the space between the two existing and once this was operational we removed the first (left) transformer bund and built a new one in its place before removing the now redundant one on the right.
